We keep the ceiling fans on 24/7 and the air on 75 – 76 on the first floor. She would really be in HELL in our house

Your electric bill is killing ME. Ouch. Good call on the fan. Love that she made you stay to see if it would be acceptable or not. You are garnering so many crowns in heaven for this.

My bill this month is around $400. This is my least favorite part of Texas summers. I’m sure it’ll be even higher next month. Do you know when we lived in Washington, I was paying $35 a month consistently? Oy. It seems these days no matter what I set the AC on, it won’t go below 73 anyway. I keep a fan on me at night. I like to be cold.

I guess that means she’s got good circulation! I was recently at my grandparents’ house (they’re 83) and their house was SO BLOODY HOT and they didn’t notice a thing. Fan? What’s a fan? The rest of us were about to pass out.

I came via witchy… because she’s FOREVER going on and on about Krissa’s so funny this, and Krissa’s so funny that. I’m subscribing, ’cause I need a good laugh.

p.s. maybe for her birthday (um, or Independence Day?) you could get her a window A/C unit… so she can freeze her ever lovin’ tushie off!

Just maybe Henrietta’s thyroid is out of whack. I used to be hot no matter what, and once I got on thyroid meds I feel 100% better. My thermos is at 74, and all ceiling fans run 24/7.

I needed a good chuckle.
My dad said my grandma would crank the heat up to 80-90 in the winter time and they literally broke 3 or 4 thermostats between changing the temp so much.

I’m such a heat weenie. But this time of year, if I set the thermostat to 74, the heat would come on. Well, that’s in the night, with the windows opened, but still.
Not many houses here have A/C. A ceiling fan usually does the trick.
